dccd controller TPS v low to high?

Post by kleinkid »

I purchased a dccd controller to use with my upcoming 6 speed swap from www.dccdpro.com Spider(Jeff) did not realize that it was for a 91 Legacy. He has a special rom for the legacy application. He wants me to check if for my TPS if the voltage goes from a low ~0.5v to a high of ~4.5v when you press on the throttle. What does the voltage on my TPS do? He will send me the other rom if I need it.

I do not know how to use a multi meter. Laugh if you want.

Can you help me? Thanks.

I am searching legacy central right now and believe the voltage should go from higher to lower as the throttle is pressed.

high to low, correct?

I think I have determined from search, that the voltage goes from high to low as the throttle is pressed. Thanks Josh, VRG, etc. for those posts several years ago!

If I keep mine it is going the way of the dawgbocks...I ain't a huge fan of the 6 speed ratios...

Although with your 8,000,000,000 lb ft of torque...it'll be fun

You guys should throw in your name for a Build Journal. I'm sure people would really like to hear about stuff like DCCD, 6MT and dogbox installations.

I'm running Spiider's DCCD controller in my 6mt swapped Legacy. I in fact did have to have him burn me a custom chip (40 pin dip) for the auto controller. My TPS signal goes from 6v at idle to 1v at WOT. Thats on the high side, possibly due to my standalone (Link Plus G2).

You need to find the TPS signal and test it with a multimeter. Kinda hard for me to explain how to do that for you here. Comparing my wiring to yours is moot.

DLC, I can do a write up on the 6mt swap if you want. There's a couple in's, out's, and what-have-you's.

bc's high to low

Post by kleinkid »

93forestpearl--get hot on that 6mt swap write-up. Mine will be taking place in a couple of weeks. I have done a lot of reading on it, and already have all the pieces I need, I believe.

It looks like the bc TPS are high to low. No reason mine should be different. Spiider is sending me the correct piece to swap out. He said he will put a note on his FAQ page so users like us will know to specify, which I did but he missed that.
