what front crossmember will fit on my 94 legacy ej22t

Post by 94turbosubi »

hi i have been doing research and haven't been very successful. so i was wondering if anyone out there has any information on which front cross member will fit my car. i have a 94 Subaru legacy 25 anniversary special edition with the ej22t. i have checked junkyard upon junkyard and no one has my car. so I'm looking for an alternate route. .now i have caught bits and pieces out of millions of treads i have went through. but i can not get an exact answer. so far i have heard that you can use the cross members off of the years 91 to 94 legacy as long as its turbo and thats obvious that they will fit but i have also heard that you can use the ones off of the impreza also as long as its turbo'd. and the reason it has to be turbo is because it is bent differently to fit the down pipe. but thats about all i got and i kinda wanted to have a little more info on what will fit not what might fit before i go spending money and find out i got the wrong part. so any bit of info would be great. thanks for you time.

You can for sure use one from a US Turbo Legacy or any same chassis turbo legacy for that matter. That crossmember is in the US Parts system. On NASIOC pm subarugenuineparts to get a price. I am also pretty sure that the GC8 Impreza crossmember will fit up as well. I have one sitting here in my yard I would be happy to sell to you if you want it.

What did you do that you need a new crossmember?

Yes it is from a 1993 WRX. I am not sure what shipping would cost. Maybe $100 shipped. It is pretty heavy that is why I say that much.

WRX would be 2.0 or 2.5, but it doesn't matter - they're all EJ engines, meaning, externally they're the same block. The turbo manifolds also take the same path. Subaru isn't stupid like some companies - they don't use multiple parts where a single will work.
