New stuff at Turbo-Centric (snow driving)

Post by Marc »

Having lived in Vermont for several years and New England all of my life, I have found that the answer to fun and safe snow driving is to keep the wheels going the same speed and in the same direction as the ground. That photo was in my new (at the time) driveway, the boundaries of which I hadn't learned yet... The next thing that I knew, there was snow up to the driver's window and the right arse wheel spinning more or less in the air... Limited slip would have been helpful and cut down on the 1.5h digging out time (I was alone).

Marc,

Here in Nebraska we have learned an important lesson when driving in the snow..... DON'T STOP and you wont get stuck.......

I too traded a Taurus for a Turbo but my Taurus was a sedan and the Turbo a Touring wagon. The Wagon is being tested daily in the snow here this year and is performing flawlessly. I would love to find another for my wife.

Dan- Here's one more legacy shot for the photos section. This is my 93 Turbo soon after I bought it last January- it handles differently in the snow than the Taurus wagon that it replaced...MarcPS- I just sold it to a family member (it was hard, but I'm moving overseas), so if I end up back in the US, there's a good chance that it'll be in good shape!
