hey guys,

anyone know the difference in clamping force on the 2.5rs, the Forester, and
the legacy turbo? i'm thinking of mating it up with a Hairpin Racing clutch
disk and a Primitive Racing lightweight flywheel.

I think that the 2.2 and 2.5 have 1100 lbs. I am running a JC Sports
chro-moly flywheel and a Advanced technology pressure plate and it
works real well the clamping force is supposed to be 1700lbs.Since
then I tried another car that they did using different parts and it
seems to be even better. This is the conventional type clutch not the
turbo Legacy type. I have put a few ks on mine and all is well so
far.

How about a CenterForce clutch? isn't it better then ACT clutch and
I'm still don't know which Flywheeles is good for our car!!
I was think to re-balance the Stock one, but it seems the JC is
better or how about a WRX flywheele??

rebalancing the stock one won't do much good. I believe JC Sports is and
always will be crap, the WRX flywheel is an iffy. But then again, i'm
biased. I work for primitive racing, his is ~14 lbs and is just about the
best price out there...

But that's all aside from the point, this is (was) going to be a custom
clutch on a budget, built from stock subie parts (2.5rs disc, Forester
pressure plate, legacy throwout bearing, whatever) to see what can get the
best results from warrentied items.
