EJ257 Crank in a ej22t Block

Post by BXSS »

After seeing this in the parts shed
http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=37304

I was wondering if the EJ257 crank dropped right in or required machining of the block.
I assume you'd use the Wiseco "stroker" pistons to get a 2.35l out of the ej22t, but am not 100% certain.

Does anyone know everything that has to be done for this to work?

The crank needs to be machined to take the center thrust.

This is what people do to build a 2.65L with sleeves and all that.
