hi guy i found some information about plastic windows for car.
i am wondering if our windows are the same as imprezia 1 gen or any other subaru model
i have a subaru legacy 1994 sedan and if i had to change the windshield, i would go with something that wont break by a little rock and that is much lightweight

You can cut your own side and rear windows for what would likely be cheaper and the windshield would be illegal on the street and preclude the use of wipers as they would scratch it to hell pretty quickly. It might also negatively affect the structural integrity of the car. Polycarbonate is real easy to cut, but forming it is harder than acrylic, so you might want to consider acrylic for the rear window (it's also cheaper and can have better clarity, though it's harder to cut without cracking it). The rear window might also reduce the structural integrity (which won't matter if you have a cage) and you'd have to make it a little smaller than the glass to allow for the greater expansion and contraction of the plastic.

I would think many racing organizations would mandate the safety glass windshield as well. I wanted to use an aircraft canopy for reduced drag on an aero-modded Miata, but the windshield requirement constrains me from using the entire thing—I'd have to cut the front off and replace it with a windshield of 3 pieces of safety glass so that it will end up looking something like a P-51 Mustang canopy. With the Cessna car, I'm modifying the windshield frame to replace the center with a flat panel of safety glass and using acrylic for side pieces that wrap around.
