Great Day At The Salvage Yard!!

Post by SLODRIVE »

I just returned from one of the local U-pull-it yards this afternoon. They were having a killer sale, check out what we brought home:

We scored 2 LSi/Turbo grilles in great shape, a pair of nice headlights, two good sunvisors, a JECS MAF and a skidplate.

Guess how much it all cost?

$40!!! I wish I had time to go back tomorrow, but this place always has tons of 1st-gen Legacies. I'll be back there for the next sale though, that's for sure. Just thought I'd share with you all! :-D

Lol, does that top the complete EJ20G with VF-8 that I picked up Thursday for $200?

j/k ---- you got a great deal. The local PickPull wants $45 per JECS. Lol.

Did you goto the one off colfax and tower?

I went to the one off 66th and broadway. I scored a couple fuel rails, center caps (wifes truck) and a shit ton of injectors (red tops to mod and send in for flow testing)

I hit the one at 66th & Broadway, I seem to have the best luck there. There was even an SS there last fall, I should have grabbed the crossmember come to think of it.

As far as I know my local yard doesn't have sales. I've never heard of junk yards having sales actually. I wish they did. That being said, it's the cheapest junkyard I've been to or even heard of so I guess I can't complain. They have several legacys but the only turbo one they have is stripped of everything you'd want from it.

I've bought quite a few things off those legacys. Quite a few is an understatement.

There aren't any u-pull-it yards around here. Totally sucks, because the salvage yards here are run by complete morons, and only go by what is on their little computer.
I'm like, just show me the damn car, I'll tell you if it works or not.

Oh man, I know what you mean! Theres a bigger junk yard to the south that's more expensive but they have a far bigger lot. But those guys suck. I hate that place. I've been there about 3 times and I never want to go back. They don't let you go out on your own to just browse and get things as you see them. They make you tell them what you need and then you have to go in a SUPER shitty car with one of their dirty ass employees while he drives around way too fast and there's no seat belts, the car is asbsolutely filthy and filled with trash and tools and the windshield is smashed in and the car has no exhaust! I can't believe that shit. Then they sit there and wait for you to get your shit and take you back and charge 2-3X more than the other yard I go to.

I hate that place. Place is called I5 auto or something it's in Napavine, WA right off of I5. Don't go there. It sucks. You'll regret it. Unless it's the only place that has what you need. Last resort. Trust me.

To top it all off, it's a bunch of impatient rude assholes working the desk. Fuck I5 auto wrecking.
