wire mating 22T harness & 25D equipment

Post by N1446 »

ok here i have a 22t harness & ecu with a 25d engine together

- i ve kept the sst engine harness near OEM as possible , concidering a few clip alterations and wire extentions

1st up ? are the crank angle and cam angle sensors between the years concidered the same-as in signal to the ECU- or different?

-i m looking to keep the 2.5 sensors & cut\paste in the 22T wire harness
-the wires are white and black off the sensors and different colors on the harness : - to cut & paste , how is there a way to determine which of the wires is pos+ or neg- ?

-is this possible to do this with a multimeter ?

i have Manny Legacy questions

The crank and cam angle signals are the same. Use whichever sensors are easier to wire in. Do you not have the EJ22 sensors?

These sensor signals are very sensitive to interference so it's better not to splice the wires because you create breaks in the shields.

Most multimeters can't read the signal in a way that is useful for this purpose, so you'll have to just trace wires until you get to wires on the vehicle harness (so you can use factory wiring diagrams).
