Fans not working
Been having overheating issues recently and also losing coolant. I think the little hose that leads off my thermostat is leaking but I'm also noticing that my fans aren't turning on at all. The fans are computer controlled, right? So when I plug in the green test-connectors the fans should cycle? This doesn't seem to be the case for me at the moment. I'm trying to diagnose why they aren't turning on.

Re: Fans not working
Yes the fans are computer controlled and should turn on/cycle with the green diagnostic connectors connected.
If they're not turning on, I would check the relays, and associated wiring.

Re: Fans not working
if i can partially hijack here,
I am trying to wire my fans so they come on whenever i turn the car on. does anyone know which wire is which?
am i safe in assuming black is ground and one of the other two is signal? i can take a picture too but there are 3 wires... 1 signal and 1 power and one ground... im basically not sure where they lead into the fan itself.

Re: Fans not working
SubaruNation, I responded in your thread.
Well I fixed my coolant leak and am figuring out the fan problem. I think one of my fans burned out. I don't have A/C so I am in the process of replacing my two OEM fans with a single 15" fan that flows 1500 cfm. That should be enough for my application. I'm having issues figuring out the wiring at the moment though.
