o2 sensor?

Post by chjohnson »

I have a 2004 legacy wagon (35 anniv. edition). The CEL came on and I got a p0032 code. I am pretty sure that I need a new upstream 02 sensor but I'm having trouble searching for parts. I was told that I my car is Calif. Emissions. Are there 2 upstream sensors? Can I use after market parts or do I have to buy from the dealer?
Thanks for your input

Welcome to the BBS.

You should only have one upstream sensor of the cat, and one sensor downstream of the cat.

You may be able to find replacement O2 sensors, Bosch or NGK. You can buy one from one of the online subaru dealers for usually a lot less than local dealerships. I've had good success with www.subarugenuineparts.com
