Outback ´06, 3.0 Navi, stereo and climate control are dead.

Hello,

at first i´m sorry about my bad english.

Yesterday, when i got my outback, 2006, 3,0. back from carwash, I first noticed that remote control does not work and i had to open the car from the door lock manually. then i noticed, that the radio, navigation and stereo doesnt work. Dislpay and all controls are dead. The blower are also shut down. Also the doorlights are dead. Everything else seems to work properly.
I called to the carwashing company and ask if they knew anything. The washer sayd that he had to left the doors open for the night and he was afraid that the doorlights will empty the battery. So he decided to took off the fuse for the doorlights. He said that he pulled one by one out all the fuses on the engine "room" till he found the right one. All other fuses he put back to their places and took out the fuse for the doorlights. On the morning he put it back.

I checked today all the fuses on the cabin and on the engines room. They were ALL ok and was correctly fitted to their places.
Could anyone suggest something?

wow that is a sorry excuse for ANY car wash facility.

did they wash your car with the windows down, why would they need leave doors open?

run far away from such a place.

The fix is most likely a VERY expensive trip to the Subaru Dealer (they should know what the heck the car wash place did wrong afer they check it out) and maybe a lawsuit needed to the car wash place. Get everything documented in FULL from the Subaru dealer in what the car wash place messed up.

The did full cleaning, including the polishing and interior chemichal (is this the right word???) wash.

sounds like they washed the dash electronics too. no-no. H2O and electronics=failure

More than likely when they removed all the fuses, they removed a fuse that went to the security system and ECU. This cleared the memory. I would suggest taking it to your Subaru dealer and have them hook it up to their computer to reprogram it and/or see if they can determine the problem.

I'm not sure there's much you're going to be able to do on your own.
