I'm back. I was part of a labor force cutback at work, hence I was no longer
reading messages daily on my work computer. I'm writing from home now and I
have lots of free time on my hands - which is very good for the Subie! So if
anyone works in the greater Seattle Metro area (Jason, any openings in
Tacoma?

This unemployment crap is starting to get a little stale (5 weeks now...).
Anyways, I've been busy on the car. Changed the fuel filter, changed the oil
and oil filter, put on 4 new tires, checked both differential fluid levels,
checked the gap on the sparkplugs I installed last month but neglected to
check at the time, replaced the A.utomatic T.ransmission F.luid (ATF for the
unawares), Checked the air filter, and replaced the coolant. I did my belts
a couple months ago so I'm not going to bother them.
Next on my list is the break fluid. I intend to replace the fluid today if I
can get the wife to sit in the car long enough to get the job done. I need
to go find some plastic tubing that will fit over the bleeder valve before I
start so I don't make an absolute mess. I don't have ABS so this should be a
breeze. If you have any reccomendations let me know.
I read the most recent episode of the fibreglass hood saga. Unfortunately
due to my employment situation I will have to abstain from buying one. This
makes the Subie, and the Subie owner very sad

can get that off the ground because a brand new hood would cost almost
double what is listed for the fibreglass one. Trust me I know. I have a
small but annoying fold in my hood that the body shop cannot repair so I've
priced the steel one out already. Its a great deal if the hood comes out
alright, which in my understanding of molds and fibreglass; it sounds like
this would turn out very well.
Good to be back!
