diff questions.

sorry, Been asking a bunch of questions recently lol. would the part # plate on the rear diff just say VLSD if it was or? trying to find out if mine is vlsd or not. probably not though lol if it is labeled like i mentioned above, can you just delete this stupid question please josh

The ones I've seen said vlsd on the plate.

The older VLSD's did say so on their data plate.

I have noticed the newer diffs don't have data plates on em. The only way to tell for sure is opening em up. Here's a thread on IDing the internals.

Only the 91 turbo came with vlsd.

The newer style diff's do have some identifying marks on them, but they are not as easy to see.

This only shows the 97 impreza, but you get the idea of where the marks would be....

I looked at the label plate and have a P/N but was unsure of whether mine is open or not, in all probability it is an open diff because it's a stock 94 TW. Was just looking to confirm where the markings would be
