What PS pump on head swapped Leggy?
I am getting ready to start building my other motor (EJ22T block, 79MM crank, EJ20H heads), and I want to run the intake under the intake manifold. Will out stock pump clear, and if not, is there a USDM one that will? I would prefer to keep the reservoir on the pump, to keep things simple.

Won't work w/the stock pump, and there is a Thread or 2 on here of others that have done it....but it was a real PITA and required (IIRC) a remote reservoir.

I used a pump and matching lines off a dohc outback. Works great

Oh haha missed that part. Remote reservoir would be the ticket.

Re: What PS pump on head swapped Leggy?
Damn. I was hoping to keep all the clutter on the motor instead of having to mount it on the fender..... I searched and only came up with the thread you posted and stuff about everything regarding under the manifold intake except the pump. Maybe I am searching for all the wrong terms, though.....
I saw some pics of the EJ20H and it had a pump with attached round reservoir on the motor with the under manifold intake, so I was hoping maybe they put a similar pump on one of the USDM cars that I could use instead of having to resort to remote reservoir.

Kimo has some sort of remote reservoir if you wanted to check out his setup

Once I get everything in there, I may take a shot at building a custom reservoir.... Can't be too hard.

Re: What PS pump on head swapped Leggy?
You just need to find the matching PS pump or like others said convert to later pump with remote resovoir. If you look in my build thread somewhere i have pics of the way i solved my ps pump issue by using a honda remote resovoir.

Re: What PS pump on head swapped Leggy?
You need the EJ20G or EJ20H reservoir. It's angled on the back to clear the intake pipe. That's what I have. The problem you run into is the lines. Your stock lines will not fit without bending them. Bending them will most likely kink them or restrict the flow resulting is piss poor power steering which is what I have now. It sucks. You need DOHC lines and a matching pump and then fab up your own remote reservoir setup or if you can find the EJ20G reservoir and stick it on a DOHC USDM pump but you need the lines all the way to the rack.

Re: What PS pump on head swapped Leggy?
I can get the lines modified easy. There is a local shop that does hydraulic hoses that can modify mine to fit.
Do you have any pics of the EJ20G or EJ20H reservoir? I may be able to modify the stocker to be similar.

Somewhere. Look through my build thread. I'm on my phone. Take too long to find them. Look at the beginning of it for when I received my swap for a pic of the stock pump and reservoir on the ej20g/k hybrid forest engine.

Re: What PS pump on head swapped Leggy?
I looked through most of it, but couldn't seem to find any clear shots of the pump/reservoir.
Also, it's amazing how far you have come since the start of that thread. I wish I had been paying attention to it from the start so I could help, though. Saw alot of questions I knew the answers to that may have saved you some time. Kinda makes me wanna do a build thread when I do my new motor.....
