fuel injectors?

Post by ronaldraygun »

hello, i am currently undertaking a project to replace a head on a 1995 impreza.
the motor is a ej22, the previous owner stripped the head where the spark plug screws in and proceeded to use a helicoil to try and solve the problem. I recently have that fail and now i must replace the head:(.

my question is, I didnt de-pressurize the fuel system is safe/alright for me to just go ahead and take the injectors and fuel rail out? thanks guys!

Welcome to the site -

If the car has sat overnight the pressure should be minimal- you'll still have fuel in the lines so be prepared for that....I'd normally tell you to cover the spark plug holes, but sounds like that's unnecessary in this case.
