The new shape WRX, the one they are rallying at the moment is less
powerful than the previous models, go figure Subaru. The new WRX STI
how ever already uses a six cylinder engine, this model has been in
NZ for about 1 & 1/2 years.
Where are you from? The 205KW legacy's RSK B4 and GTB's have been
around 4 years here in NZ, and the twin turbo legacy's have been here
since 1994.
By the way I have a twin turbo legacy. Third gear is increadible, put
your foot down to pass a car at 90 Km/h and by the time you have
passed one car you are already seeing in excess of 140km/h. They are
not all that fast from a stand still, and should you change gears and
the rev range drop between 3,250 rpm to 3,500 rpm they have terrible
lag. You can't do much to the exhaust system, only from the cat back.
The turbo's are roller bearing and require back pressure from the cat
to stop them over reving, and at $3,000 dollars each, it doesn't take
long to learn this.

Hi Daniel
i'm from Nova Scotia Canada
we havn't had a Turbo anything (in Canada or USA i think) from Surbaru since the 94 Legacy until the WRX we just got. It's been a line of NA 2.2's and 2.5's.
i might have to go visit your area of the world to try out a twin turbo. seems like a long way for a car ride though. ;~)

You poor deprived Americans.
Long ride alright but well worth it, nice fast windy roads. If you
come to Auckland I could take you for a thrash around our local race
track in both my cars.
