ej22t vs ej20 oil pans

Post by macipusy »

I would like to get the KillerB oil pickup for my ej22t stroker. He offers a pickup for the ej257 oil pan as well as the ej205 and older ej20...noej22 listed.

How does the ej22t oil pan compare to the ej20 oil pans? I would guess they are the same, but I'd like to make sure before I place the order for the pickup.

Thanks

That I can't answer but I remember reading on NASIOC that the EJ257 pans have improved baffleing to combat oil sloshing around and starving the pump so if I were going to drop the money on that killer B (expensive) pickup I would definitely buy a 257 pan first.

That is a good point....I have been thinking about this option as well, Kimo.

Another option would be to get a new OEM pickup for now, just for peace of mind....then get the KIllerB when I have a new STi pan/baffle.
