So I'm planning on building my 25d heads I've been holding on too for years lol.
And I was wondering if a 272 cams would be to much.
My main plan is to have the heads built and ready for a sti short block
If someone has a build thread where they built a set of 25d heads then that would be great

Ej20k/ej20r cams are pretty decent. If i were you, i'd give deltacams a call to see what they recommend. I know buying 4 cams from delta or other companies is going to be way more than buying ej20k/r heads and stealing the cams.

i agree on that lol, but i want to be able to make 400 awhp and have the heads be able to handle it easily.

Re: What cam are you running
I have Kelford 272's in my ported EJ25D heads with Supertech valves/dual springs. What are your plans for engine management? Those cams will require something other than the stock ECU so you can tune them to get the most out the cams. Any EJ20K cam will work, they are almost identical to the 25D heads. The Kelfords cost me 1100
Edit: Supertech doesn't have off the shelf direct fit spring kits. The springs themselves are not the issue, but the spring seat. I had to mill 2mm off each one to get the correct seat pressure. They do have valves that are identical dimensions as the stock ones. I bought inconel for the exhaust and stainless nitrided for the intakes. If you go with Ferrea they have the application listed wrong so be careful. The valves, guides, springs, and seals cost me close to 900. If you go with Supertech I can give you the part number for the valves. What year are your 25D heads
Edit: I haven't updated my build thread in 3 months, but if you want pictures I have a bunch I can post
