Does anyone knows where can I buy a set of of ECU wire harness for JDM Legacy turbo the ej20G, I already has the ECU and has the wire diagarm but I found there are some different from the US wire harness to JDM wire harness like the spark plug wiring....etc.
Please help and thanks

As far as I know, the harness connector housings are the same as the North American ones. They probably have a few extra pins in them, since (as you say) I'm pretty sure they used independent coils for each spark plug and they had twin turbos so they did some weird kind of solenoid control that probably involved more signals.
I don't know where you would be able to buy the crimp-on terminals to add your own wires to a US/Canada harness (you could try asking AMP maybe), but you could certainly get two sets of US/Canada harness connectors and put them together to get all the pins you need.

As I did compair the both pin diagram, they only have few of exter pins from the JDM ECU, since my ECU came with the connector from the car so I have all the wire color to view.
Now all I needs is the JDM wire harness that go connect to the engine and hope it come with the senser that I needs.
Thanks Vrg3 your info, and where could I found AMP's website?
Ben

You could also probably adapt an engine harness for a North American car, if you had to...
AMP's owned by Tyco Electronics ( http://www.tycoelectronics.com/ ) but I wouldn't actually expect to get anywhere with them. They're not used to dealing with individuals, and these connectors are likely obsolete and/or custom-made.
You're better off taking the pins out of another domestic-market ECU harness connector.

I used the plug that came with my ECU and cut and added the wires. You can run the 4 extra wires along the inner fender (protect them) up to the wire block next to the battery where you will splice it into the engine. Have you also run the intercooler wiring?
Second note, Are u interested in a complete set of valve cover gaskets? I have a set on the way and asked to get a 2nd set included. We could split the shipping cost this way. They would be about $60 cdn complete with shipping to you. Right and left side plus spark plug gaskets.

Hi Mark, I am interesting on those gasket set incase the cover start leaks, how much is the cost with shipping to my house in Markham Ont.? Also, how can I pay you the set of the gasket?
Do you know whats the max pressure we could put into the EJ20G engine, since I am running around 13psi-14psi with my AVC-R! Will it be safe for those kind of boost pressure?
For the wiring, are you just put the JDM ecu to the stock US plug and put 4 exter wire to the direct igniate coil in each spark plug hole?Since I use the WRX air to air intercooler, so I didn't run any of wire for the intercooler!
Any more info for the JDM ECU installation, please help!

Hey Ben,
apparently 15 Lbs is safe on 94 octane with the intercooler. As for the wiring, Did you look at the wiring diagram I updated on my site yet? Just as a double check... If I remeber correctly, It ended up just being 4 more wires.
As for the gaskets. They are pretty light so I will express post them to you. When I recieve them, I will forward them on to you. You can send me $65 total, money order or what ever.. OK?
Direct email me me your address.

They should have left New Zealand today or tomorrow. I had ordered a 2nd set incase you wanted it

Question?
I was wondering why you wanted to do the JDM conversion as opposed to dropping in a USDM EJ20, which can be made smog legal?
On that note, I am about to start a USDM Ej20 into a 99 legacy, does anyone know where I can get some ECU pinouts for the legacy?

Look under 1998 Impreza RS. It has the same ecu as your 99GT . . . It's a GT, right?
