90 leggy head swap?

Post by 06stilove »

Hi I have a 1990 leggy and was wondering if it is possible to put newer 2.5 heads (97) on my 2.2 block and if so what do I need for the swap

The dohc on a non-turbo 2.2 swap has been done before. Matter of fact my roomate had one. You lose power down low in exchange for a little up top. With the stock ecu, your readline doesn't change, so you're just shifting the power band to the right.

I can't comment on one in a manual car, but with an auto it made the car slower all the time except when you floored it, but you were still always waiting to get into the power band. I wasn't a fan.
