RRUN Racing readies for Round 4 in Western Canadian Championship
VANCOUVER, BC RRUN Racing will be judged again, this time at the Mountain
Trails. This is round four of the 2001 Western Canadian Rally Championship
Series, which will be held on June 16 at Cache Creek in British Columbia.
The Mountain Trials Rally has been held in BC's southern interior off and on
since the 1970's. During the 1970's and 80's this event became famous as
part of the Canadian National Rally Championship.
“ Last year, we had our Datsun 510 and we finished the event 8th overall,
but this year, we going to be driving a lot faster,” says Mark Ward, RRUN
Racing driver, referring to their current rally car, a Subaru Legacy
All-Wheel Drive Turbo. “ The Subaru will be a lot of fun in these tight and
twisty BC roads.”
“BC offers some of the most challenging roads in Canada. The roads at
Mountain Trails will really put us and the car to a grueling test,” says Ken
Kwong, RRUN Racing Co-Driver. “There are going to be hill climbs and
descents that will keep us on our toes. The exposures are a long way down
and the switchbacks are some of the tightest we’ve seen.”say Ken. “But
after our return from the two National events in Alberta in May, we’re
feeling more than ready to go and the car feels great!”
RRUN Racing is generously supported by RRUN vni, A&J Racing, OK Tire and
Service, and Glico Canada Corporation.
