Thanks to those who helped me with this. It was the engine pinging.
I ran my fuel tank down and re-filled using Optimax, then reset the ecu.
Then tested the car again at the same 'hill climb' where i tested it before and yes the pinging has gone.
After this tankfull i will revert back the Caltex Vortex (as my fuel card is with them) and try the local 'hill climb' again. Hopefully it was just a bad tankfull. Maybe the servo put ULP in the PULP tanks......(by accident) who knows.
