Borla turbo header - $335 SHIPPED!!

Post by boostjunkie »

Yes, it's for a wrx, but it should fit the turbo legacies as well . . . still awaiting true confirmation on gains . . .

OMG.... those are some nice numbers. nearly 30hp from headers and a catback. if that's really all it had modified on it, that means it had a cat in the up-pipe, and 2 cats after the turbo. we have no up-pipe cat, and a lot of us are running straightpipes with no cats. one could assume we should see at least those gains with these ehaders and a straight-through cat-back. and certainly witha DP-back straight-through exhaust. mmmmm..... birthday's coming up....

I emailed brett, the guy who works for the company that is selling the headers and he said they are a different design and they won't fit a turbo legacy. THIS SUCKS!

if those headers are meant to fit with the stock turbo placement (which is what i assume) , then they will fit our cars. kelley is using a hks header meant for a wrx and any of the other ones will work too. the wrx header, uppipe and turboback will all fit our turbo legacies. :o

Aaron's ej22t is correct. The legacy and the wrx use the same exhaust pre-cat exhaust components. The wrx DPs will work as well, but you'll have to modify the midpipe on the legacy to attach to it.

we're justy trying to rationalize cause we're confused. not doubting your sources. perhaps the guy you were talking to thought you meant NA legacies? or something?

Most of the subaru tuners out here in the US haven't worked on a turbo legacy, so they really have no idea what components are shared with the wrx, etc. For example, Josh at Cobb tuning had no idea that the exhaust components for the wrx worked on our cars. *shrug*

I had to let him know, of course:)

Should we expect these headers to stay at this price for a while? Or, how about a group buy to get them at a discounted rate? Just tryin to cut costs wherever I can :D
