Can anyone recomend which of the vac pipes to take the boost gauge off
93 legacy 2.0 turbo/ there seems to be 4 vac pipes , one in the
middle near the throttle body and the outher three next to each
outher on the L/H of the inlet . ive stuck it on the middle one at
the moment , it may be me but it seems to make the car jerky when u
just come on or off the throttle and the gauge seems flick around
like mad when throttle on and off lightly or when u come off full
throttle , or is this normal
Thanx Rob

Cut the hose going to the boost solinoid, slip a tee in and hook up your
hose. I would cut it near the solinoid. should be reliable.

Boost Gauge
Just to add to what Mark said, tap any line coming from the passenger
side tap off the intake manifold. This will get the pressure after
the turbo.
The turbo should go up and down rather quickly when on and off
throttle, this is just how the system works.
If the behaviour of the car has changed since adding the gauge, then
perhaps you've caused a leak somewhere. Remove the gauge and see if
it continues to act different.

Boost Gauge
I put a restrictor in the line for my boost guage. It seemed to cut down on
the unwanted noise alot.Boost readings didnt seem to be affected. I am using
the nipple on the intake manifold originally designated for the CBV. I am
using a different vacuum source for the CBV because it is in a different
place due to a custom intercooler being fitted. BillC

Has anyone seen those A-pillar mounted gauges? I know that Autometer
and Defi make gauge mounts for some of the other makes
(honda/mitsu/etc.) and Autometer actually has mounts for right hand
drive Subaru Legacies. Is there anything for our Legacy in left hand
drive?
