gas mileage 94 Legacy wagon?

I'm thinking of getting a 94 Legacy wagon 5-speed AWD. I assume it
has the 2.2 engine. I'm concerned about low gas mileage. Can I get
some feedback from owners? What are you averaging city/hwy? Thanks.

In my 91 Turbo AWD Sedan I average 14litres/100kms (20mpg) in the
city and 10litres/100kms (28mpg) in the highway. I bought the car
with 105,000kms and now has 203,000 kms. Mileage remains about the
same even after major tune-ups.
