why..
First thing my car was being VERY picky as to when it would decide to turn
on.. Like when I'm 150miles away from home or a friendly dealership.
Seriously this happens like twice out of 15 starts..
So it happens and I'm stranded and I have the car towed at my own expense to
Becker Subaru.. drop off keys, tell them the problem.. get home by courtesy
driver.. out 65 bucks so far.. Get a call just as I get in the door. It's the
mechanic desk-clerk he doesn't know what I'm talking about, car runs fine,
charges me !!!100.00 FECKING BUCKS!! (*pardon my language*) for
diognostics..yea he had the guy turn the car over for about an hour which
counts for labor.. SO i drive back pay the man, looking like an idiot who
doesn't know how to turn on an automobile, get my car, drive it home, park
it.. At about an hour later I want to go to the store..BAM it doesn't
start!!!!! AAAAHHHH!!! I'm pissed!!!
Call Becker up have them tow it this time!!! They don't know what it is, it's
a year old starter so they give me a 50/50 decision, it could either be
A.. The starter contacts $160 parts
or
B.. the wiring to the starter $150 parts..
So either way I'm screwed for about the same money..so I replace the
contacts..
BAM problem solved... or so I thought..
about 2 weeks later BAM same problem!! ARG!!! and I still have the problem!!
I don't know what it is! could it be the ignition system? The coil pack?
what?
I'm outta ideas and my moneys wearing very very thin..
The second thing I noticed was a lack of power. Almost as if I were only
running on 3 pistons. I did a compression test all good..i replaced my sparks
as well, the power came back sorta.. BAM I'm all happy..
I have a lot more power than I had but she's (yes it's a she..only a woman
would give me such grief) still really sluggish.. Now I think part of this is
my fault.. I really think it's part of 2 things. first the fuel injectors
are STOCK 1991 injectors with OVER 146000 miles on em..it's not the fuel pump
replaced that 2 years ago. and second just recently i was raceing..not
street.. nothing overly illegal. i was running on a friend of mine's private
land.. which was fun as hell,
Well, he has a bridge, a little bridge. It's dirt up to the bridge and then
it's cement. The bridge spans over a small stream that cuts thru his property
and the bridge has a nice steep 45degree incline that perfectly flattens and
then repeats on the other side which is all asphalt and leads to the main
road.. the bridge is only a car length long. Normally when crossing this
bridge you approach it slowly let the car over the edge, cross the bridge and
proceed over the side..... I'm not particularly normal.. and nor is my car..
Well, I hit that bridge at 85MPH.. I did not make a graceful 4 wheel landing
to say the least.. by standers said I was easily 6 ft in the air.. I could
swear I was higher..
To say the least I'm investing in a skid plate..
My oil pan has a 1/2 inch crease thru the bottom of it, and it's still
holding oil, Now if your STILL HERE this is where I get to the point.. I
flattened the bottom half of my headers/connecting pipe, they don't form a
"O" but more of a "D". Most of the tin insulation was ground off and I have a
couple holes in the connecting pipe, all smaller than a crochet hook. so I
think I may also have a lot of little exhaust leaks.
Can someone figure out why I have really really sluggish power all the way
thru the lower gears, till about 3rd.

Fiberglass news..
I don't want to do this, but it seems you'll be able to spend you money on
other Christmas presents for you cars..
We don't have the people. Christmas came again. just like last year, i tried
to get interest early on, like in July,, and here we are in December still
waiting on 1 or 2 people. or trying to get five people to commit.. i do not
blame anybody.. everyone has their own circumstances, jobs are lost, people
move, etc.. and with the holiday season so VERY close. even I'm looking a
little short this holiday season.. Especially with my car in death throws..
I contacted A.B.E. this week and told em that we would try AGAIN in 2002 I
will try around June, so hopefully by November we can place an order.

I will keep ALL those who we're ready to commit and contact you ahead of time
when I will be trying again.. that and all those who expressed some
interest..
If anything price will go down? I hope..
I really don't have anything else to say.. Except may you all have A VERY
MERRY CHRISTMAS / HAUNIKA (I'm a crappy speller) and may things go VERY VERY
well for you in the new year!!!
