tranny swap questions

hey guys...
i kno this question has been done to death but i have a few more.

i've been doing a lot of research on the at to mt swap so i kno a lot about it, here are my questions..

i have a base 90 legacy wagon, which tranny's will fit there the best, dont need any performace ones, just need a regular ol tranny that'll do it.

secondly, for those that have actually done the swap, roughly how much did it cost u. (or minimun price it would cost, pls include CAD or USD)

As for which trannies will fit.....pretty much any MT from a 90+ MY subaru impreza or legacy. The cable actuated ones will probably be easier to do the swap process.
