Ok.. Just for the record I have a 91 2.2l FWD Legacy WGN LS.
So i finally have some cash to rub between my fingers.. And i have
it all planned out on what i want! but i'm second guessing my
purchace plans and need some advise..
I basicly know everyone opions on headers.. most of you think it's
a waste of money.... But for some time now i've been ogaling the
MRT complete exhaust system.. And for the money it sounds
great.. i get headers, hiflow cat, and a performance muffler i
believe..
Tri-Tunings gonna install it, and they've been quite understandable
seeing as 5 months ago i was going to do this but unexpected
problems drained any spare cash i had at the time, and i never got
back to them leaveing them hanging untill a couple days ago when
i happend to look into my saving account.. and it was like my
birthday happened again..
Ah Has anybody Done the MRT complete exhaust system, if so
any feedback, performance issues? construction? good, bad, got
what you paid for...wished you haden't..ect..
Are the second generation Borla's better? and can i get a borla
package complete and installed for under 900 bucks..?
I'm just a bit gunshy..I personally can't see spending 3-400 bucks
on some performance part i can fit in my hand and not notice a
diferance.. I want the complete MRT package but i don't want to
find out 3 weeks from now, hey i should waited and got something
else.. i don't know if i'm makeing sence...
Anywho also does anybody know where i can find a write-up on a
timeing-belt install..my chiltons only good as a wheel chock..

David-I have the Series II Borla headers combined with my custom up/down pipes & exhaust. The headers alone are $500 plus, but they DO WORK!! The MRT system was`nt an option for me at the time I did mine, but I`ve heard glowing reports of MRT`s system from many Aussies. Plus, he stands by his products as does Borla. Remember, his is a COMPLETE system that should be an excellent investment from what I hear. Call Brett @ MRT and see what you think.---ROD (AZ.)

Questions For the group..
Subaru puts out a magazine called the End Wrench for
their service departments and in the Jan. or Feb.
issue they had a whole article on changing the 2.2
timing belt. Most Subaru dealer service department
should have it if not I'll get a copy and could either
send it to you or email it. Just let me know.

Questions For the group..
David,
I fitted a complete exhaust from MRT on my previous Liberty, ie N/A
4WD GX.
The fitment and workmanship is excellent BUT i ened up taking it off
and putting the std system back on. I Did this because it made the
car horrible to drive, loud and droning in the car. The performance
increase was hardly noticeable and considering the fact i then had a
car i didn't really want to be in, it all came back off.
Solution. Sold it and purchased a Liberty RS turbo. Put a full MRT
exhaust on this and it did make a VERY noticeable difference and
nowhere as noisy as what is was on my previous Liberty, don't know
why though...
With exhaust, a free flow air inlet, a chip & running 17PSI... now I
have power...
If i was to suggest anything, remove the resonator from the air inlet
and open the filter box hole up to 3" and replace the rear muffler
only. I cut open my old liberty muffler and it is a real shocking
design, very restrictive. Other than that, buy a turbo car...
cheers, Rod..in OZ
.

car horrible to drive, loud and droning in the car.
