It's the emissions control charcoal cannister where the tank can vent into. So that raw hydrocarbons aren't directly vented into the atmosphere.

for a minute I thought what are you talking about. then I realized I took mine out. I assume that is why you brought it up.

be REAL careful when dealing with that thing. in terms of moving it or servicing it or whatever. the nipple (huh huh... I said nipple) on the resonator box that it connects to will break off fairly easily, and the check valve between the canister and hte resonator also has a tendancy to get brittle and break. both of mine are JB Weld'd right now. It's tough to find that style of check valve, and I hear those resonator boxes are pricey.
I said nipple......

[12-year-old giggle] hee-hee nipple!! [/12-year-old giggle]
Be careful with that canister!! Remember that collects the gasoline fumes from the gas tank! And I don't think I have to remind anyone how dangerous gas fumes are!

Hey Kelley, where did you route all of the hoses? Did you just "T" 'em up?
I'm saving up for my Yugo.
