60-80 accelleration times with and w/out boost

Post by douglas vincent »

Driving on I-84 is a long stretch so I did a few 60-80 accelleration runs in 4th and 5th gears

I would get it into gear, set the cruise control to 60 so i was neither accellerating nor slowing and then floor it and time myself.

4th gear was 7 seconds on boost, 12 seconds off boost.
5th gear was 9 seconds on boost and 23 seconds off boost.

In fact, fifth gear pulls so well I seldom downshift to 4th ever when climbing hills.

Good shit. Isn't it a little biased though since you're still sucking air through the sc and ic?

Yeah, I am losing probably 15-20 hp while NA compared to stock. Maybe. Since I fixed my little plug wire problem, I don't know for sure.
