There was a guy here that had a turbo put on his older rs wagon. After we all had a hard run through a canyon it sounded like that, He thought he had spun the rod bearing. Haven't seen him since tho so i dont know.

Is it an auto? If so check your flexplate mine was making the same noise when my flexplate let go. Look through the inspection hole with a good light and look for cracks.

TDGKORN - What kind of noise are you referring to? Is it similar to valve clatter, only it comes from the tranny? My flexplate/TC sounds a bit noisier than I imagined, could this be an issue?

It is kind of similar to valve ticking but much loader or it is a buzzing sound at certain rpms.

The noise comes from the inspection hole and the gap at the bottom of the engine where the engine and tranny mate.

i'm not sure if it is a big problem but better safe then stranded.

I remembered you putting in the turbo block and getting it fired up but i hadn't heard anything about you driving it. And why would i search for a thread about someone putting in an engine unless i had a technical question about it. The search feature is for people that are looking for something and are considering starting a thread. :P

(edit)
ahh, i was confused. I didnt see that the thread was started in febuary. I was wondering why the engine was n/a in the picture. I thought the thread had been started like two days ago.
