Lighting on a 91 Turbo

Post by ondamtn@sover.net »

I am new to this group and have a lot to learn...
My first question is on headlights and what to do about the hazing on
the lenses from the years of use. Is there a way to clean them or do
they need replacing? If so where is a good place to get new ones? Or
even better, are there Japanese or Euro spec units I could source
from somewhere?

Secondly, I was wondering if anyone has tried to convert the turn
signals on a 91 turbo into driving lights as they already have a
clear lens. Can the parking lights be rewired to also function as
turn signals? Appreciate any help!
Kevin

Lighting on a 91 Turbo

Use a med/light polishing compound, turtle wax or No.7 are good. Then
get a clear coat polishing compound, then a cleaner wax. The sequential
steps will help remove the built up grime, and get rid of the scratches.
If you have a motorized buffer, it will work better. The only real
problem is that it seems to come back, not as bad, but it definitely
comes back.
