Hey just stumbled across this site and see it has a lot of good info but little that seems to pertain to my wife's car.
It's a 99 Legacy SUS AWD 2.5 auto with 120k miles.
It's been exhibiting some suspension problems recently and i'd like to find a good source of info on what kind of things I should be looking at and replacing. Also keep in mind personally I know next to nothing about Subarus or imports for that matter.
Know of any good sources of info? TIA

Sedan version of Outback.
I think it stands for Sport Utility Sedan. Not very common and most brochures I've seen don't even mention them.

Yeah, I actually like them better than the wagons. Suspension wise the things to look for are bad bushings and joints. Jack it up and shake stuff, if it moves see where the play is coming from. Look at the rubber bushings for the antiroll bar links and mounts, control arms, etc. and see if they're deteriorated (it should be pretty obvious). Press the corners to test the shocks - it shouldn't bounce more than twice. My bet is the bushings are fine as it tends to be age that kills them, though mileage does come into play to a lesser degree. The most important things to check are the ball joints and tie rod ends as it's a safety issue.
