Code 45, MAP. any ideas?

Post by thehookeup »

so i fried my last ecu, and just put the new one in today. and i finally got to drive my car after the 5mt swap for the first time. and it drove awesome.
but i am throwing a code 45 which is the abnormal map sensor voltage. I have a hks fcd which has always worked great and i have not touched the wiring on it since i installed it( which was over a year ago and has always worked great).

I measured the voltage going into the fcd and it read 5 volts at idle. which i am pretty sure its normal. and i had 5 volts leaving the fcd going to the ecu. Then i adjusted my fcd and measure the voltage in and out, and it seems to be doing its job.

i checked all vacuum lines going to the MAP and they are all connected and seem to be correct. i cant understand what the hell is going on. anyone have any ideas

AFAIK, the EJ22T was not equipped with a MAP, but a MAF.

Seems to me that the pressure sensor or exchange solenoid valve is inoperative.
