WTB/WTT: JECS MAF for stock Turbo MAF, knock sensor
I have a working JECS MAF that I'm looking to trade for a working OEM MAF from a Turbo car. I'm also in need of a knock sensor if anyone has one for sale.
Thanks,
Parker

Ah you beat me to it! I was driving mine with the cable disconnected to test the illumination in the instruments and it ran like total carp until I plugged the cable back in.

Re: Intake manifold height and benefits
The torque curve shifts lower while pretty much maintaining its shape. The result is that it won't have the same amount of torque up high, but if you have other mods that are geared towards the higher rev range (cams, etc...) you shouldn't notice it too much. I think that for your purposes, either m...

talk me into it...and help
I'm looking at buying these heads from a possibly 96 EJ22 to replace the 22t heads on the car now. Which EJ22 engine would this be? Is it going to be a phase II, or were those around later? Depending on your timeframe, I may have one in a week or so if I get my wideband installed.

Re: Intake manifold height and benefits
The longer runners help to shift the torque curve to a lower RPM range. I'm planning on using the manifold from the '06 impreza 2.5i (any 2.5 NA single cam if I'm not mistaken) due to its larger plenum volume and longer runners.

You can rotate that vacuum nipple on the compressor outlet. Takes a vise or a manly grip, but it can be done.

Simulated narrowband to replace OEM o2 sensor?
I know some cars are very sensitive to it, but is there any negative effect from using the simulated narrowband output from a wideband like the LC-1 to replace the factory o2 sensor?

If you go on the msextra.com forums and PM user "tpsretard2" he might be able to help. He has a 94 that he's running the DIYPnP on and offered to help me out when I buy mine. He is "tpsretard" on NASIOC.

I did activate it, but only momentarily. I know of an under-development neighborhood with nothing but gravel streets to test it out on.

ABS light after master cylinder replacement
So I recently replaced the master cylinder in my '93 SS with a remanufactured unit, and will soon be replacing that one with a new unit. Everything went smoothly, and I had to drive on it for a work day without flushing the fluid due to running out of time in the shop. No ABS light that whole day. T...

Roller Rockers in the 22t head?
Is a retrofit of the later SOHC Rocker arms into the ej22t heads possible? Even if not, what is the engine code I should be looking for for these phase II heads?
thanks,
Parker

Re: Legacy Power VS STI Power
I agree with SLODRIVE. I haven't had this car long, and I'll admit when I picked it up I had delusions of 400whp daily driving, but I would much rather spend the money on having 400whp in my S2000 and more like 250 in the Legacy to get it on par with the more modern WRX's and such.
